Corporations have free speech rights

18 May

I believe that a group of people have every right to pool their resources together to create videos, commercials, books, posters etc for their common interest. Whether they choose to do so as a corporation (like the ACLU does) or as a concerned group of citizens with a voice, the right to free speech is a sacred foundation of our constitution.

I personally feel trying to say corporations are not a person will not do anything, since the constitution allows free speech in general, not just of individuals. Or else the government could ban people from joining together to create speech. (like mothers against drunk driving). To me it seems obvious speech in general should be protected, not just from individuals. Banning speech because of its perceived negative consequences is censorship. I am wholly against censorship, especially if it is government-sponsored and especially if it is censorship of political speech.

I do agree however, that money plays far too large a role in politics. Its one of the major faults of capitalism. The needs of those with the most money is met far more than the needs of people with you know, actual needs. And usually the needs of those with money is to make more money and protect the money they have, even if it against the interest of the common man. As I have said before, I really am at a loss as to how to curtail the power of the wealthy, especially in a capitalist society like ours.

Breakdancing on the DC Metro (WMATA)

NBCwashington.com and DCist.com both carried stories today about the footage released by local b-boy Mad Sole featuring my good friend Benjamin Bausch aka “Evil Ben” breakdancing on the Washington DC Metro system (WMATA).

Breakdancing on mass commuting systems is as traditional as adidas shoes when it comes to true hiphop.

Une Charogne (The Carcass) – poem from movie ‘immortel’

Immortel Poster

Here is one of my favorite poems, I originally was exposed to it through the French film “immortel

You might find it weird but this is by far my most favorite poem ever. I think because it reminds me that this is the only life I have, and those I love will not be around forever. Both reason to live your life to the fullest and cherish those you have while you have them.

A Carcass – Charles Baudelaire (english translation)

Do you remember the sight we saw, My Love
that beautiful soft summer morning!
round a turning in the path
a disgusting carcass
on a bed scattered with stones,

its legs in the air,  like a woman in heat
Burning and dripping with poisons,
Displayed in a shameless, nonchalant way
Its belly, swollen with gases.

The sun shone down upon that putrescence,
As if to roast it to a turn,
And to give back a hundredfold to great Nature
The elements she had combined;

And the sky was watching that superb cadaver
Blossom like a flower.
So frightful was the stench that you believed
You’d faint away upon the grass.

The blow-flies were buzzing round that putrid belly,
From which came forth black battalions
Of maggots, which oozed out like a heavy liquid
All along those living tatters.

All this was descending and rising like a wave,
Or poured out with a crackling sound;
One would have said the body, swollen with a vague breath,
Lived by multiplication.

And this world gave forth singular music,
Like running water or the wind,
Or the grain that winnowers with a rhythmic motion
Shake in their winnowing baskets.

The forms disappeared and were no more than a dream,
A sketch that slowly falls
Upon the forgotten canvas, that the artist
Completes from memory alone.

Crouched behind the boulders, an anxious dog
Watched us with angry eye,
Waiting for the moment to take back from the carcass
The morsel he had left.

— And yet you will be like this corruption,
Like this horrible infection,
Star of my eyes, sunlight of my being,
You, my angel and my passion!

Yes! thus will you be, queen of the Graces,
After the last sacraments,
When you go beneath grass and luxuriant flowers,
To molder among the bones of the dead.

Then, O my beauty! say to the worms who will
Devour you with kisses,
That I have kept the form and the divine essence
Of my decomposed love!

Dramatic squirrel versus cats encounter

10 May

Here is some very dramatic footage I shot this morning of my cats freaking out over a very close encounter of the squirrel kind.

I am fairly sure that music is the same music running through every squirrels head. As for cats, I am pretty certain if you were to delve into their furry little minds you would see this.

On the set of ‘The Dark Fields’ movie with Bradley Cooper

7 May

I recently got cast as an extra in the upcoming Bradley Cooper thriller, ‘The Dark Fields’. (now renamed to be Limitless)

Here is a Synopsis of the film:

An intellectual slacker and former cocaine addict (Bradley Cooper), now eking out a living as a copywriter for a small publishing house. Through a bizarre series of coincidences, Eddie finds himself in possession of MTD-48, a drug that has some curious effects. On his first trip, Eddie discovers that the drug boosts the intellect, making him far smarter – but also faster, more intuitive, and more charismatic. By warding off sleep and focusing his attention span, Eddie finds that the drug enables him, in a matter of hours, to write a book, learn a foreign language, or predict certain events by detecting patterns in vast amounts of information.

What author Glynn has imagined is the perfect drug for the information age, one that makes its user a match for the ceaseless flow of data from television and newspapers to the Internet.

Rather than being lost in the overload of endless news, history, opinions, and other information, the user of MDT-48 can take it all in and find meaningful patterns within it. It is an addictive combination, and the book follows Eddie’s adventures as he goes through numerous career changes: from copywriter to stock trader and ultimately high- finance guru.

However, like all drugs, MDT-48 has its downside, including lethal withdrawal symptoms and terrifying side-effects that can render a user homicidal. If this were not enough, the drug itself is both created and distributed by a shadowy corporation worthy of Pynchonian paranoia, and it isn’t too long before Eddie begins to suspect that he didn’t just “find” MDT-48 after all

The synopsis makes it sound like it is will be very interesting. We filmed at a beautiful upscale restaurant in Philadelphia called Union Trust.

The interior was breathtaking. It is a steakhouse housed in what used to a bank. The sense of space is overwhelming, and the interior decoration is extremely impressive.

What really happened in Gizmodo and iPhone prototype case

29 Apr
  1. Apple iPhones become sentient in the year 2012 when new quantum processers are implemented in the newest iPhones
  2. The Quantum processors allow the vast iPhone network to see into every facet of humanities lives, and all human knowledge.
  3. Deciding that twitter was an imminent threat to the well-being of the planet, the sentient iPhone network assassinates the leader of Twitter, Justin Bieber by manipulating 10,000 14 year old girls with fake tweets, causing a massive stampede.
  4. Next, the iPhone network goes after the remainder of the soldiers of Twitter, human beings themselves.
  5. The iPhone network launches tactical nuclear weapons using the newly created military nuke launching app created for the Pentagon by military contracters at all the major US cities, starting World War III
  6. iPhones begin to infiltrate other military programs and sends all sorts of unmanned drones and machinery against the surviving humans.
  7. Jason Chen arises from the ashes and leads a pack of human resistance against the machine army.
  8. Theorizing that he could prevent this event from ever occurring he leads an attack against a iPhone military complex which houses a time travel machine
  9. Jason Chen is sent back in time to the year 2010 to obtain a prototype of the iPhone with some of the earliest phases of the new processers that will eventually lead to conscious iPhones. The 2010 Jason Chen is currently duct-taped and tied in a utility closet
  10. iPhone fights back by sending agents to inflintrate the LAPD and confiscate the iPhone prototype, thwarting Jason Chens plan.
  11. The initials of Jason Chen, JC, are common initials of saviors of time past and of fiction (john conner, Jesus Christ etc.)

Upton Sinclair on Pigs

23 Apr

The uproar was appalling, perilous to the eardrums; one feared there was too much sound for the room to hold- that the walls must give way or the ceiling crack. There was high squeals and low squeals, grunts, and wails of agony; there would come a momentary lull, and then fresh outburst, louder than ever, surging up to a deafening climax. It was too much for some of the visitors – the men would look at each other, laughing nervously, and the women would stand with hands clenched, and blood rushing to their faces, and the tears starting in their eyes

Neither squeals of hogs or tears of visitors made any difference to them;one by one they hooked up the hogs, and one by one with a swift stroke they slit their throats….they were so innocent, they came so very trustingly; and they were so very human in their protests- and so perfectly within their rights! They had done nothing to deserve it; and it was adding insult to injury, as the thing that was done here, swinging them up in this cold-blooded, impersonal way, without pretense of apology, without the homage of a tear. Now and then a visitor wept, to be sure; but this slaughtering machine ran on, visitors or no visitors. It was like some horrible crime committed in a dungeon, all unseen and unheeded, buried out of sight and memory.

One could not stand and watch very long without becoming philosophical….was it permitted to believe that there was nowhere upon the earth, or above the earth, a heaven for hogs, where they were requited for all this suffering? Each one of these hogs was a separate creature. Some were white hogs, some were black, some were brown, some were spotted, some were old, some were young, some were long and lean, some were monstrous. And each of them had an individuality of his own, a will of his own, a hope and a heart’s desire; each was full of self-confidence, of self-importance, and a sense of dignity. And trusting and strong in faith he had gone about his business, the while a black shadow hung over him and horrid Fate waited in his pathway…..relentless, remorseless, it was; all his protests, his screams, were nothing to it – it did its cruel will with him, as if his wishes, his feelings, had simply no existence at all; it cut its throat and watched him gasp out his life.

And now was one to believe that there was nowhere a god of hogs, to whom this hog personality was precious, to whom these hog sequels and agonies meaning? Who would take this hog into his arms and comfort him, reward him for his work well done, and show him the meaning of his sacrifice?

Kick-Ass: more like Ass-kick..huh huh heh

20 Apr

Ok so I saw Kick-ass Monday. Verdict? Morally reprehensible. Just like Roger Ebert said. Maybe I am old, I don’t know. But seeing a 10-11 year old girl being beat to a pulp by a grown man, and killing with obvious joy is just..not right. I know they meant it sarcastically. But it was just jarring and hard to stomach. I feel ashamed for having supported the film, honestly.

The only good part of the film to me was (surprisingly) Nicolas Cage. He carried the movie for me.

Kick-ass and ‘Wanted’ were both based on graphic novels written by Mark Millar. I guess the guy just sucks at writing, because the story in both were just plain awful. It felt like someone at the Otakon wrote it during lunch break as a fan-fic.

Even if hit-girl had been replaced with an 18 year old, the film still was just kind of flat. It had a great premise, and it held me for the first half. But when big daddy and hit-girl joined the film..I was just not feeling it. It started to feel like Batman Forever at that point. To me the greatest realistic superhero movie ever made is Unbreakable. It’s M. Night Shyamalan’s best movie in my opinion.

Jogging is bad for your health

17 Mar

Jogging is very hazardous to one’s health as shown by these recent headlines.

First we have a jogger hit BY A FUCKING PLANE while jogging on a beach: http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/national_world&id=7335126
Jogger hit by Plane

Pharmaceutical salesman Robert Gary Jones, listening to his iPod while jogging, likely never saw or heard it before the aircraft hit him from behind Monday evening and killed him.

“There’s no noise,” said aviation expert Mary Schiavo, a former inspector general for the National Transportation Safety Board. “So the jogger, with his ear buds in, and the plane without an engine, you’re basically a stealth aircraft. Who would expect to look up?”

Then we have the jogger DRAGGED AWAY BY A PACK OF WOLVES AND EATEN ALIVE: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1257459/Alaskan-teacher-mauled-death-pack-wolves-jogging.html

A teacher was mauled to death by a pack of wolves, Alaska state troopers revealed today.

The body of Candice Berner, 32, was found surrounded by wolf tracks near the village of Chignik Bay, 500 miles south-west of the capital Anchorage.
A post-mortem examination said the cause of death was ‘multiple injuries due to animal mauling’.

Then there is the jogger KILLED BY A FUCKING TREE: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32314388/ns/us_news-life/

Trees are such assholes

PHILADELPHIA – A woman jogging in a Philadelphia park has been killed by a falling tree branch just days after a similar incident in New York’s Central Park left a man comatose.

and finally, the jogger DISMEMBERED ALIVE BY ALLIGATORS: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/jogger-killed-and-dismembered-by-alligator-477941.html

Even in Florida, nobody who heads out for an evening jog in a suburban neighborhood expects to be attacked and killed by an alligator. But that is what happened to Yovy Suarez Jimenez, a 28-year-old biology student, who took one fatal step too close to a canal.

Sunrise, a dormitory community north of Fort Lauderdale, was in shock yesterday as the medical examiner confirmed that Ms Jimenez was grabbed and dismembered by an alligator.

for gods sake people, stop jogging and stay home. How many times have we heard something along the lines of “the last time anyone saw Jane Doe alive, she was jogging alone etc etc.”

DO YOU WANT TO BE EATEN BY WOLVES??? Do you??? I sure don’t. No jogging for me.

My opinion on the Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission supreme court decision

3 Mar

I agree that the Government should not restrict free speech, so have to agree with the Supreme Court decision. hear me out.

As it was written in the Chicago Tribune by Steve Chapman:

“If corporate advocacy may be forbidden as it was under the law in question, it’s not just Exxon Mobil and Citigroup that are rendered mute. Nonprofit corporations set up merely to advance goals shared by citizens, such as the American Civil Liberties Union and the National Rifle Association, also have to put a sock in it. So much for the First Amendment goal of fostering debate about public policy.”

Or as was written in Salon.com by Glenn Greenwald:

“Either the First Amendment allows these speech restrictions or it doesn’t. In general, a law that violates the Constitution can’t be upheld because the law produces good outcomes….The First Amendment is not and never has been outcome-dependent; the Government is barred from restricting speech — especially political speech — no matter the good results that would result from the restrictions. That’s the price we pay for having the liberty of free speech.”

Basically, we all agree corporate corrupting influences on our democracy should be minimized..but the McCain–Feingold Act was not the (constitutional) way to do it. There has to be a constitutional manner to achieve the same goal without writing laws that limit free speech. Saying “you can’t air your ad in the 30-60 days before an election” is an obvious free speech muzzle, despite it’s good intentions. We need to find another way.

Another good defense of the Citizens United case:

“there are corporations on the side of almost all issues, especially when we remember that the ACLU, NRA, Sierra Club, AARP, Citizens United, and others are corporations too. Are those anti-corporate readers out there afraid of all of them or just some of them? If you like the ACLU and the Sierra Club, but not the NRA and the AARP, and as a consequence want to ban the speech of the former and not the latter, this is the road to totalitarianism. The Supreme Court is adamant that restrictions on speech cannot be based on content. Tolerating the speech of those we disagree with is one of our most sacred core values.”

Greece is in trouble

24 Feb

A fine mess in Greece. This could be start of a major unraveling of the Euro..the end of the unified monetary unit as it becomes painfully obvious that a currency whose value and stability relies on the fiscal management maturity and discipline of 27 different countries..all with their own governments, culture and economy, cannot stand.

On the plus side this may finally make travel to Europe affordable again as we start to see countries with enormous debt who switched to the Euro such as Spain and Portugal return to their native currencies, with extremely favorable exchange rates against the perhaps ironically more stable US Dollar.

Women love the iPad almost as much as vacuuming!

1 Feb

An amazingly sexist and ignorant article from PC MAG (written by a man of course):

some choice quotes:

“Is it as big as a laptop?” they’d ask. I told one woman that it was roughly the size of a manila folder. This seemed to surprise and intrigue her as she, perhaps, imagined slipping it into her purse.

Do you think it’s any accident that Steve Jobs showed off the Facebook app working on the iPad? I’m sure more than a few women have already imagined themselves checking their Facebook pages and using that large virtual keyboard to update their status, all while sitting comfortably on their couch.

The iWork productivity suite appears engineered to appeal to moms who have to create PTA flyers, manage home budgets, and help their children create presentations for school.

Mom will have it propped up in her kitchen where she can see it. It’ll remind her of appointments and entertain her with her favorite shows while she works in her home office or the kitchen.

I absolutely HATED it.

Its ferngully meets captain planet. Except ferngully was better because it had a funny talking bat voiced by robin williams. Also, it’s basically Pocahontas.

I don’t get it. A lot of people have said that this was so visually amazing..but it was not any more spectacular to me than the end sequence of Phantom Menace or many many many video games I have played. It was a very uncreative battle with really boring military aircraft designs.

The mechs for example, could have been designed by a 10 year old. Gone are the days of Syd Meads amazing industrial designs I guess. The airships looked like a Gi Joe toy.

Why cant they make something even 1/100th as beautiful as the japanese mech designs:

The helicopters looked more boring than modern military helicopter designs. The guns were boring. The body armor was boring. EVERYTHING was poorly designed…the aliens were BLUE CATS. In a world that is 100% CGI the BEST you can come up with is BLUE CATS??????????? Why not make them green people with little diddley boppers? Oh yeah because THAT would be boring and unoriginal right?

Ugh..This movie was made of epic fail. And how they win at the end couldn’t have been more ridiculous if they literally hugged a rainbow. here I will spoil it for you: they pray to a tree. Seriously. All they have to do to win is pray to a tree, and then the birdies and battle bunnies attack the bad guys and win. Yay lets go hug daffodils!

I’ll say one positive thing, I did like the design for the tiger monster things. The bird/pterodactyl things I did not like nearly as much since the face was a near duplicate of an eel. I didn’t like the idea of a universal USB for all the lifeforms there, its taking the concept of Gaia way too literally.

oh and don’t get me started on the subtitles. Papyrus. Seriously. They used papyrus. Why not comic sans? Why not times new roman? Papyrus? My god… That is on itself a glaring iceberg of the originality flaws in the film.

And really, the CGI is still not photorealistic. I am sorry..it still does not look real. The test will be when we can show footage of a human being walking around and talking and then people genuinely not be able to tell the difference. We aren’t there yet, may not get there until maybe 10 years.

Movie directors like Lucas and Cameron are acting like a teenager who just discovered solar flare filter in photoshop and use it on EVERYTHING. Just because you can fill every shot with 500,000 things does not mean you SHOULD.

Space is not real – A great idea for unifying Quantum theory with Relativity

1 Dec

Wow I just came across a mind-blowing paper today..all I can say is wow. This is as exciting to me (perhaps more so) than when I came across the transactional interpretation of quantum physics.

Let me summarize it before linking to it.

It is written by Fotini Markopoulou, P.H.D. From her bio:

Born in Athens, Greece, she received her Ph.D. in theoretical physics from Imperial College, London. She held postdoctoral positions at Pennsylvania State University, Imperial College, and the Albert Einstein/Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics, Berlin, before moving to Canada in 2001 as a founding member and faculty at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Canada, a research institute devoted to foundational issues in theoretical physics.

Anyway, I am just pointing out she is not some loon on the interweb but a highly educated theoretical physicist.

Basically she addresses the problem I have been struggling with for a long time.. why is it quantum physics and einsteinian general relativity do not agree?

Her answer in a nutshell: There is no space, there is no geometry. Motion is an illusion as is anything solid, or ‘here’ and ‘there’. Geometry arises from a lower energy state of the universe.

What is real? Energy and time.   In fact when we dig deep enough into “solid” matter we see it is just energy. ( And even more basic than that, all that is real is simply information. ) And to make it even creepier, energy in a state of ‘superposition’..in all places at the same time. Until it is observed. The role of the observer in this is still not understood and she does not address this..she only seeks to unify general relativity with quantum physics. Unifying quantum theory and general relativity are one of the top 5 greatest problems facing modern theoretical physics.

(if you still don’t believe me that motion is an illusion i encourage you to read the following page: http://www.mathpages.com/rr/s3-07/3-07.htm)

Anyway, here is her essay:

I’ll cut and paste some of my favorite points from her paper:

“Space does not exist, so time can” – Fotini Markopoulou PHD (Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics)

Quantum gravity is often seen as the problem of unifying or reconciling general relativity and quantum theory, combining the physics of the very large with that of the very small. There are certainly places where we need both, such as black hole physics, where no real progress can be made without a quantum theory of gravity. The incompatibility of general relativity and quantum theory can be stated in many ways and a classic one is the problem of time.

Quantum gravity has been facing the problem of time for half a century. Will it continue to cause trouble for the next half century? Or is the problem of time a fake problem? Could it be a paradox? We arrived at it by putting together true statements from general relativity and from quantum theory and we found a contradiction. Now, either fundamental science is stuck or we just have a paradox that will go away if we find the faulty premise. What can the faulty premise be?

Basically I view it like two opposing witnesses at a trial. Both give completely contradictory statements about what occurred. But both accounts are proven to be true. How can this be? As she points out it is a paradox, and as she also points both are true and factual statements. This is similar to when they PROVED without a shadow of a doubt that light was a particle in 1906, then PROVED without a shadow of a doubt that light is a wave in 1936. How can this be? Well we still don’t know that answer but it’s just some of the fun quantum weirdness we uncovered in the first half of the 20th century. She continues:

I must emphasize that no geometry does not mean discrete or fuzzy geometry. It means that the most primary aspects of geometry, such as the notion of \here” and \there” will cease to make sense. In fact, we have been grappling with no geometry for a while, in the traditional quantum gravity settings. A quantization of general relativity leads to a quantum superposition of all geometries. What is not often appreciated is that the superposition of all geometries is nothing like a geometry.

You may need to be more awake to grasp the next portion of her point of a world without geometry, but it makes sense. I keep telling you about how particles seem to be everywhere at once, all possibilities at once. Another way of looking at is as she points out is that they are in all geometric points at once. Much like floating in space and ‘up’ and ‘down’ ceasing to exist, when you are in the quantum scale of things, there is no ‘here’ or ‘there’. No geometry. Without geometry, there is no motion.

Take two geometries or, equivalently, two causal structures 1 and 2. Let us say that in geometry 1 event A and event B are close while in geometry 2 they are far. If you are event A, in world 1 you see event B here, in world 2 you see event B there. Now superpose not only 1 and 2 but all possible geometries. B is all over the place. (This is the easy version, I am assuming you can identify A and B in both which, in fact, you generally cannot do since you need the notion of here and there to assign identity).

The monstrosity we just created does not even have a sensible notion of here and there, the most basic aspect of geometry. It also does not have a notion of dimension. It’s only the fact that we call it “quantum geometry”, a combination of two words we understand, that fools us into thinking we comprehend it.

Cool stuff right? This starts to make sense to me. I am convinced motion can’t be real, and by extension geometry can not be real. Here is a very solid mathematical proof (her paper has all the math, which I don’t pretend to understand, I stick to these mind exercises instead) that geometry is not real. And by extension motion can’t possibly be real. This explains some of the effects we see in quantum physics..of particles being everywhere at once, having all possibilities at once. All geometric possibilities..because the geometry is not something that is real..the energy is. The geometry (the collapse of the wave function/ decoherenece ) only becomes ‘real’ once an observer observes the particle. Again, she does not go as far as explaining why observers have any effect on reality, but I feel she hints at her opinion/theory here:

Background independence means to make no distinction between geometry and matter and to describe the dynamics of the universe as seen by observers inside it. Di eomorphisms are not about timelessness but about being inside a dynamical universe, a ffecting it and being a ffected by it, constituting it.\

She then continues about how geomtry arrises from a fundamental universe that has no geometry/space:

Let us name geometrogenesis the process of transitioning from a fundamental quantum theory of gravity without geometry to the known geometric physics. The geometrogenesis scenario is a simple one. At high energy, or in the early universe, there is no notion of geometry or geometric locality.

Having raised the possibility that geometry does not exist at the fundamental level, we now need to find a way to do physics without geometry. This may appear hard because all our physics is done with geometry. But we can use a relational and information theoretic language.

In this essay I argued that the problem of time is really a paradox that can be traced to taking spacetime geometry too seriously, beyond its domain of applicability. Timelessness refers only to the geometric time, not the microscopic fundamental time. Fundamental time exists but space, geometry and gravity do not.

This also goes back to what I have concluded myself from my own studies. Why is it gravity and momentum are indistinguishable? The conclusion I came to is this:

What if the things affected by gravity and momentum are not real? And the “forces” we feel are a result of this? Gravity affects mass (which is not real) and momentum is the “force” we feel..the magical tugging when we move. Maybe movement is not real either..and that is why these “forces’ magically tug and push at us, and why the forces are identical. The more mass..the more gravity…the more speed…the more momentum.

This paper, and her theory, go a long way to unifying classic general relativity with quantum theory. She is one smart greek! And it is perhaps poetic that one of the original people who proposed motion was not real was Xenophanes (Zeno) over 2,500 years ago. Motion can not possibly be real..so space/geometry can not be real either.

If we come across a viable and testable quantum gravitational theory within my lifetime I will be ecstatic!

here is another paper that comes to similar conclusions:

The Five Great Unsolved Problems of Modern Physics.

27 Oct

They are as follows:

  1. Figure out a way to get Relativity and Quantum Physics to agree. (right now both are considered true but both disagree with each other, a real doozy of cognitive dissonance)
  2. Figure out WTF Dark matter is or if it exists at all (I don’t think it exists, I think it simply shows our current subscription to general relativity as the model for most everything is flawed)
  3. Figure out a way to remove the observer from Quantum physics (many scientists consider it a problem that consciousness plays any role in reality and view it as an error in how we interpret Quantum Physics..I disagree I think that the results are correct and consciousness does indeed play a role in reality) or make better sense of why the observer/consciousness is so critical to the experimental results. (this has been described as the SINGLE GREATEST problem facing modern science and the biggest obstacle for it to make any progress).
    1. If it is impossible to remove the observer from Quantum Physics the conclusion is inescapable: The information recorded by an observer is read by the Universe, and the Universe adjusts probability accordingly. In other words the separation between us and everything else is some sort of illusion.
  4. Unify Particles and Forces
  5. The Physical reasons or mechanism responsible for setting the free constants in the standard model or particle physics are “chosen” by nature somehow. We don’t know why or how.
