Okcupid, the next myspace?

16 May

okcupid.com is pretty fucking awesome. I’ve been on there all day. Normally I HATE quizzes, but I am on literally question number 500 and I am not tired. It’s a 100% free site much like MySpace, but without as much a focus on friends / degree of friends. Instead you compare yourself to other people based on how they answered those hundreds of questions. You can see if you far more sexual than them, more religious, less adventurous, etc etc.

It’s interesting also to do a browse for people and see which people are supposedly more like you, and which are supposedly more likely to be an enemy. The questions are entertaining and you can submit your own after you answer at least 500. The chatting feature is VERY fast (as fast as yahoo messenger or AIM) and useful.

Overall I’d recommend this site if you are bored and want to kill a few hours. Besides the huge endless questionnaire thing there are various, much smaller tests and quizzes you can take. It allows up to 5 photos and features very useful cropping tools and auto-resizing.

(in order to access the huge thousand question long quiz click on the left link entitled IMPROVE MATCHES)

I loved that website, but I deleted my account ages ago. I should probably sign up again. It’s a shame people don’t realise there’s more than just quizzes on that website.

The next myspace, huh? That would be something, since okcupid existed BEFORE myspace.
