Tae Guk Gi – The Brotherhood of War

I just saw this movie last night..absolutely stunning. It’s about the Korean War..

This film was the biggest success in Korean film history. It attracted over 10 million people to the theater, which is almost 20% of the South Korean population.

It’s the story of two brothers who get drafted in 1950 to fight for South Korea against North Korea..it’s probably the most brutally violent war film I’ve ever seen (saving private ryan is a close 2nd) and has some horrific depictions of close-up fighting, and AMAZING sound..you must hear this in a good surround system with DTS sound. Unfortunately the official american dvd release of this movie does not have DTS sound but crappy dolby digital. If you can grab the import dvd with the DTS surround cus its way better.

A must-watch.
